Fees & Funding
You’re welcome to get in touch directly — you don’t need a referral to see whether Anchor In feels like the right fit for you. If you’d like to access Medicare rebates, your GP may need to prepare a Mental Health Treatment Plan and referral before your first session. Below is an overview of session fees, rebate options, and other funding supports that may be available to you.
Standard 50-minute session: $240
Payment is due on the day of your appointment. A receipt will be provided after payment, which you can use for Medicare rebates or other funding claims where relevant.
Medicare rebates
With a valid Mental Health Treatment Plan and GP referral, Medicare provides rebates for up to 10 sessions per calendar year.
The current rebate for a registered psychologist is $96.65 per session (subject to change).
Telehealth appointments are eligible for the same rebate as in-person sessions.
NDIS
Support is available for self-managed and plan-managed NDIS participants.
Sessions are billed in line with the current NDIS price guide under Capacity Building supports.
Sessions may support areas such as emotional regulation, coping strategies, navigating services, and strengthening self-advocacy, where these align with your NDIS goals.
How telehealth works
Sessions are delivered via a secure, encrypted video platform. You will receive a private link by email before your appointment. No software installation is required.
Phone appointments are also available if preferred.
Research shows that telehealth psychology is just as effective as face-to-face therapy for many concerns, and many people find it easier to access and keep up over time.
Cancellations
Appointments require at least 48 hours’ notice for cancellation or rescheduling.
Late cancellations or non-attendance may incur the full session fee, as that appointment time has been reserved specifically for you. Please note that Medicare rebates cannot be claimed for cancellations.
If unexpected circumstances arise, please get in touch as soon as possible.
